NiteRider Technical Lighting Systems Releases Groundbreaking New Lighting System, the MiNewt.

San Diego, CA- November, 2006-NiteRider Technical Lighting Systems continues to set unreachable standards in product technology with its new MiNewt lighting system.

The MiNewt system began shipping in August of 2006 and has quickly become the most successful new product launch in the company’s history.

Weighing a scant 227gm (8oz), the system consists of an incredibly small Luxeon LED headlamp and a one-of-a-kind, compact, rechargeable Li-Ion power module. The headlamp and battery both fit easily in the palm of your hand and yet provide an amazing amount of light along with a 3-6 hour runtime. Both the power module and headlamp incorporate an ingenious power level indicator.

The aluminum headlamp incorporates cooling fins that give the lamp assembly a custom look that has to be seen to be appreciated. According to company Sales Manager, Mike Ely, “one of the goals on this project was to provide a light that not only performed well but also had a great ‘one-off’, limited edition look to it. We believe the finished product has the perfect blend of looks and performance.” Jack Gresmer, NiteRider’s President was very happy with the product release saying, “our goal was to come up with a light that had a broad appeal; to the off road crowd and pavement riders as well."

The company spent more than a full year researching and developing the product that is the first product to ever utilize a special optical glass lens material called Borofloat to minimize light loss and distortion.
